How I got to be in the Olympic Opening Ceremony
My mate Dec posted a blog earlier this year about a nostalgic trip back to Stratford in east London. Turns out he was on his way to rehearse for the Opening Ceremony. What a brilliant show that was. It left us all with no doubts about the history, humor and eccentricity of the British people. Here's Declan's story.

Beach time in barcelona
After a few days touring Barcelona we were ready for some beach time. The city’s beaches at Barceloneta were built for the 1992 Olympics. They’re loud, fun but very crowded. We decided to take a 35 minute train to Sitges where we found an incredible historic town, beautiful spacious beaches, gorgeous clear water and great restaurants.

Not as well known as its asian neighbor, Little Saigon offers a unique taste of Vietnam.
Getting there is half the fun....
The sign for the Bald Head Island ferry reads “getting there is half the fun”. That rings true for me because it takes me back to how travel used to be. Travelling via train, ferry, airplane even driving, travelling was an adventure. Then came travelling with young kids, followed by travelling in the post TSA world. Fact is travelling became a chore.
